Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Praise the Lord!!  We are having a breakthrough in Maricopa AZ.

We just baptized a buddhist lady from Tiawan last night, and we are going to baptize 7 more souls this week in Jesus name.  God is beginning to open doors, and moving upon the hearts of men and women here in Maricopa.  It is so exciting to be able to finally start seeing another breakthrough here in our city.  The great thing about this move of God, is so many young people are involved.  The fresh blood in our church right now is so wonderful to see.  We would ask you to keep praying for REVIVAL in our great city.

 Sincerly,

Bro Don Taylor

“PRAISE”

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

Ps 22.3

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the priases of Isreal.

inhabitest - to sit down, to dwell, to remain, to settle, to marry, establish, habitation

God so wants to literally abide in our praises, this is where HE lives, this is where HE dwells, in the praises if HIS people.

PRAISE - is one of humanity’s many responses to God’s revelation of HIMSELF!

The more we understand who HE is, the more we want to PRAISE HIM!

PRAISE -comes from a latin word meaning “Value” or “Price”.  Thus to give PRAISE to God is to proclaim HIS MERIT or WORTH!!

Let’s give God what he is worth!  Your PRAISE calculates or determines what God’s worth is to you.  The modes of PRAISE are many - 1.) the offering of sacrifices  2.) physical movement 3.) silence and meditation 4.) testimony 5.) prayer 6.) and a holy life

However, PRAISE is almost invariably linked to music, both instumental and especially vocal.

Ps 47:1 - O clap your hands, all ye people; SHOUT unto God with the voice of triumph.

Dr Ron Allen says PRAISE is a public and vocal act of boasting about GOD!

I am sure we can find something to brag about,  that God has done for you this week, or even today.  SHOUT,  CLAP, DANCE, RUN, RAISE YOUR HANDS,

WHAT IS GOD WORTH TO YOU TODAY!!!!

PRAISE is an impassioned exaltation of God - typically as an expression of gratitude for one’s life or being -

Hallel - (hebrew) - means a joyous PRAISE, to boast in God, or to act madly or foolishly - WOW!!

Yah is a shortened form of the name of God YHWH - Sometimes rendered in english “Yahweh” or “Jehovah” - thus creating the word

HALLELUYAH - I am madly, foolishly, joyfully boasting on you Jehovah!

Hallelujah is pronounced the same way in practically every known language on earth!!  Can we all say it together and really mean it.  HALLELUYAH ! HALLELUYAH!

The very tribe of Isreal that Jesus came out of was Judah, meaning PRAISE in the hebrew.  Jesus was without a doubt pointing the way in which we should approach God, with all of our heart, and with all of our might, and with all of our strenghth.

Deut. 6:4-5 - Hear, O Isreal: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

SOME HEBREW WORDS OF PRAISE:

1.)  Barak - to kneel or bow, to give reverance to God as an act of adoration, implies a continual conscious giving place to God, to be atuned to him and his presence

2.) Guwl - to spin around, under the influence of any violent emotion

3.) Ranan - to creak, to emit a stridulous sound, to shout aloud for joy

4.) Alats - to jump for joy, exult, be joyful, rejoice, triumph

5.) Chuwl - to twist or whirl in a circular spiral manner, to dance

6.) Macha - to rub or strike the hands together(in exultation), clap

7.) Shabach - to address in a loud tone, a loud adoration, a shout, proclaiming with a loud voice (unashamed), to glory, triumph, power, a testimony of praise

Can we all join in and begin to PRAISE the LORD the way the Bible says we need to.  It is such a relief to just LET GO AND LET GOD!!!!!

In HIS service,

Pastor Don

“WOUNDED IN MINE OWN HOUSE”

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

JOHN 19:1-22

The chapter starts off with Pilate making the unforgettable order to scourge Jesus, and then the soldiers took it upon themselves to plait a crown of thorns and put it upon his head.  They also found a purple robe and wrapped around the then beaten and bruised Christ.  And said,Hail, King of the Jews! and they struck him with their bare hands. As Jesus stood there bloody and so weak, Pilate made the infamous statement, Behold the MAN!

Yes, he was all MAN.  He felt every fists that hit him, he bled real blood, his eyes were black and bloodshot from the treacherous beating he had taken.  The very flesh was taken from his back and laid open to the sand and dirt that would cake upon his every wound.  Barely standing and barely breathing, they took Jesus and led him away!!

As the cheif priest and officers saw him, they cried out Crucify him! Crucify him!

John 1:10-11 - He was in the world and the world was made by him, but the world knew(recognized)  him not.

v 11 He came unto his own,  and his own(own people)  received him not.

Let’s be perfectly honest with each other right here, if you would go to your family today and offer them all $1,000,000.00 a piece, and they took you out in the street and beat you until you could not stand up, and then they hung you on a cross till death, what would you do to them if you could retaliate?  Hypothetical question, but the fact remains that Jesus loved the very people that hung him!

John 19:7 - The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

So the very responsibility of the crucifixion of the Christ fell upon the Jews, they said,”Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him! Crucify him!  The cheif priests said, We have no king but Caeser.

The point I am making is that from all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations, so Jesus is in the lineage of the greatest patriarchs that the Bible has record of.

BUT!

Is. 53:3-5 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and aquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised  and we esteemed him not.

Surely he hath bourne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But he was WOUNDED for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

In spite of the maliciousness of the Jews and the roman soldiers, in spite of being WOUNDED and beaten and hung on a cross, in spite of the hatred and wickedness of humanity, he could give Zechariah some good news!

Zech. 12:10 - And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of GRACE and of SUPPLICATIONS: and they shall look upon me whom they have PIERCED, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.

Grace - graciousness, favored

Supplications - literally to stoop in kindness to an inferior - have pity upon

John 19:34 - But one of the soldiers with a spear PIERCED his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

After seven days of fasting and locked up in his own office,  the Rev. G.T. Haywood came out singing, “I SEE A CRIMSON STREAM”.  The Chorus goes like this:

I see a crimson stream of blood,

It flows from Calvary,

Its waves which reach the throne of God,

Are sweeping over me

Psalms 46:4 - There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most high.

People often ask me, “How can I take my time and go almost every night and teach Bible lessons all over this county?”  It’s easy when you realize that when you show up at a house,  and there are those precious souls waiting for the word of God.  Waiting for the crimson stream of blood to start flowing through their house, cleansing their sins, saving their household, it’s all worth it!

Though we may have gotten wounded in our own house, there is a Saviour that knows how we feel, that’s why he was wounded and died!

So the fountain could flow - So the fountain could flow!!!  I feel even right now - let it flow, let it flow, let it flow!!!

God bless

THE POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

Lev:17:11,  Eph:1:3-7,  I Cor:6:19-20

“For the LIFE is in the Blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Atonement= At-One-Ment

Eph:1:7 - In whom we have REDEMPTION through HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

I Cor:6:20 - For ye are bought with a price:

“The price was the blood of Jesus Christ”

Jesus Christ desires to transform our human existence from what it is, to what it can be in HIM!  The sinfulness of human beings disqualifies them as inheritors of God’s kingdom.

Ps:51:5 - Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in SIN did my mother conceive me.

SIN- Actions by which humans rebel against God, miss His purpise for their life, and surrender to the power of EVIL rather than to GOD!

Sin is the root cause of all the problems of humanity!

Rebellion was at the root of the problem for Adam and Eve in Gen:3, and has been at the root of humanity’s plight ever since.

Sin literally means missing the mark which God has established for your life.  Misery loves company, so here is a verse for us all:

Rom:3:23 - For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Some say that SIN is inherited, and some say it is by choice, but for sure SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD!!!

Sin’s actual origin is to be found in humanity’s rebellious NATURE, that old ADAMIC NATURE.  Thanks to Adam ansd Eve!!

A.) SIN enslaves a soul to wrong doing

B.) SIN causes spiritual depravity-(I don’t want to be around spiritual things, because it convicts me, because I am doing wrong somewhere in my life)

C.) SIN produces spiritual blindness- Spiritual truths simply are not visible to that person

D.) SIN blurs the distinction between right and wrong

E.) Guilt, Shame, and Unforgiveness is the results of SIN!

Rom:5:12 - Wherfore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that ALL HAVE SINNED;

Understanding this about our own human nature, we need a remedy, an anti-dote, a cure for this malicious, malignent cancer called SIN!

Rom:5:8- BUT GOD commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, CHRIST DIED FOR US.

Much more then, being now justified by HIS BLOOD, we shall be SAVED from the wrath through HIM.

Rom: 3:24-25 - Being justified freely by his grace through the REDEMPTION that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation(atonement=at-one-ment) through faith in his BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the REMISSION OF SINS that are past, through the forebearance of God.

The “BLOOD OF CHRIST” designates in the New Testament the atoning death of Christ.

Atonement refers to the basis and process by which estranged people become at one with God, hence, AT-ONE-MENT.

I Pet: 1:18-19 - Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not REDEEMED with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers.

But with the PRECIOUS BLOOD of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Heb:9:14 - the BLOOD cleanses your conscience

I John 1: 7 - the BLOOD of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from ALL SIN

Heb:9:12 - Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION FOR US.

We then went to Matt:26:26-29 - and took holy communion in remembrance of the death, burial, and ressurection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to pray for a fresh revelation of the BLOOD OF CHRIST in your life, it possibly could make the difference in your decision making process.

May the God of Glory richly bless each and every one of you!
